HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Rockets hosted the 12th annual Blacktop Battle, presented by ZTE this weekend.  The 3-on-3 basketball tournament took place on the streets by the Toyota Center, with an estimated 200 teams participating this year.

“The level of competition is pretty extreme,” Chrislord Templonuevo, the tournament’s director, said. “It ranges from 10 and under to adult elite.  They get to showcase their skills. We’ve got a lot of ballers, shot callers out here.”

The tournament also has a ticket tie in. In addition to a commemorative shirt and goodie bag, participants also get one ticket to an upcoming Rockets home game.
