SAN ANTONIO, TX – Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, the last American prisoner of war, arrived in San Antonio, Texas early Friday morning to begin the next step of his rehabilitation process at the San Antonio Military Medical Center.

Bergdahl didn’t exactly receive a hero’s welcome.

The five-to-one prisoner swap that got him his freedom, May 31st, ignited a firestorm of criticism.

The White House says that Bergdahl’s health was deteriorating and they acted quickly to save his life.

But was it a life worth saving?

At that time of his June 2009 disappearance, the army concluded Bergdahl left his post deliberately, but he was not labeled a deserter; without being able to speak him, they had no way of knowing why he left.

Hopefully he makes a speedy recovery so he can start answering some serious questions.
