HOUSTON, TX – Craig Biggio will take his place in the National Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday, and in the crowd will be one of his biggest fans, Devin Duncan.

Duncan met the Astros legend when she was three years old, having just been diagnosed with Leukemia.  Their friendship was kindled through activities with the Sunshine Kids – an organization that provides activities for children fighting cancer.

“Growing up, everyone was like, ‘Craig Biggio is the hometown hero and he’s amazing,’ and I was like, ‘Craig Biggio is my friend,’ Duncan said. “Craig Biggio is just this guy I’ve known my entire life, and he’s been such a support to me. He’s kind of part of the Sunshine Kids family.”

Biggio has worked with the Sunshine Kids for more than two decades, and invited Duncan and three other Sunshine Kids for Sunday’s ceremony in Cooperstown.

Biggio is also helping the Sunshine Kids raise money for the organization by teaming up with Nikco Sports to offer a commemorative Hall of Fame plaque.

You can order the plaque by calling 800-345-2868 or by clicking here .
