FREEPORT, TX -- After a day of searching for 52-year-old Phillip Orr and his 28-year-old son Brandon in the Brazos River just south of Freeport, crews found both of their bodies on Wednesday morning.

Nick Harmon with Texas Parks and Wildlife says the men were not wearing life jackets, there was no bad weather at the time they went missing and it's not exactly clear what happened.

“Both the victims were found [in the water]…within 200-300 yards of where the boat was,” says Harmon.

The Galveston County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
