BRAZORIA COUNTY  – If you’re looking for some fun, family time and good crawfish, well look no further than The Brazoria County Crawfish Festival.  Formerly the Pearland Crawfish Festival, the event outgrew its former home and now is held in Brazoria County.  The festival features live music, carnival rides, games for the kids, exotic animal displays, go-kart rides, a fun-filled family atmosphere, and of course, pounds and pounds of good crawfish.

“Aw the crawfish is delicious.”  says visitor, Jose Martinez, who brought his family out to enjoy the festivities.

“Man, you can’t get any better crawfish than this.  It’s spicy, perfect.  It goes well with beer.  The corn, potatoes, everything,’s perfect.”

Jose wasn’t the only one feeling this way.  New crawfish lover, Julia Velasco could hardly contain her excitement.

“If you’re a crawfish lover you should come here!  This is my second year eating crawfish.  My husband goes about two or three times a week to eat crawfish. So, as soon as we heard about the crawfish festival, we know we had to come.”

The festival is held every year in April.  Funds raised will help benefit the Brazoria County Boys and Girls Club, and the Houston Blues Society.
