SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, CA – It’s a day of mourning, in the wake of Friday’s killing spree in Santa Barbara.

You’ve seen the manifesto and the ‘plan of revenge’ from the suspected killer, 22-year-old Elliot Rodger.

In April, Elliot’s mom, Chin Rodger, saw videos her son posted online, talking about his feelings of being lonely and girls not being attracted to him.

Weeks before the shootings, cops were asked by a mental health service to pay Elliot a visit at his apartment to check on him. Apparently, they didn’t check enough. Elliot had three semi-automatic weapons in his bedroom.

Elliot even wrote about it when the cops showed up at his door, and left clueless.

In his revengeful plans of action, Elliot wrote, “If they had demanded to search my room…that would have ended everything. for a few horrible seconds i thought it was all over. When they left, the biggest wave of relief swept over me. I would have been thrown in jail, denied of the chance to exact revenge on my enemies. I can’t imagine a hell darker than that.”

A wave of regret for the cops who had their chance to change the fate of lives lost. No relief for the families and friends caught up in the massacre. It is said, misery loves company. Too bad for Elliot Rodger, now dead, but not alone.
