CINCINNATI, OH – The Horseshoe Casino in Cincinnati, Ohio made a million dollar mistake. But it worked out for everyone in the end.

The casino accidentally awarded a $1 million promotional giveaway to the wrong person. It was a classic case of mistaken identity. Apparently there were two men named Kevin Lewis enrolled in the contest, and the casino mistakenly gave the prize to the one who didn’t win.

“There are a lot of similarities between these two Kevin Lewis’ with age and things like that. It was one of those mistakes you couldn’t have scripted if you wanted to,” says Horseshoe communication director, Jennifer Kulczycki.

The casino apparently has a two-step verification process, which failed.  But in the end, they awarded both men a million bucks.
