HUDSON, Wis. — Talk about a close call.

Take a look at this terrifying dash-cam footage as a police officer in Wisconsin narrowly escapes getting plowed down by her own police car!

The officer had pulled over on Interstate 94 to assist a stalled vehicle in the median  when all of a sudden — wham!

A speeding truck slammed into the rear end of the police cruiser and sent it flying.

A witness says the impact was so intense, the police car wound up all the way on the other side of the freeway!

And just look at how the officer's police cruiser ended up after the crash with the backside completely crushed and mangled.

The vehicle looks like it's been put through a trash compactor!

The Hudson Police Department posted a little reminder on Facebook, "Please remember to slow down and move over when you see an emergency vehicle with its emergency lights on."

Definitely some good advice to help avoid getting a little too close for comfort.
