PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD – Shocking surveillance video  was released of a wife driving her SUV right into a man running for his life– and that man turned out to be her husband!

After two days of deliberations, a jury has convicted the wife– Araceli Alvarez-Mandoza– of involuntary manslaughter.

But some believe this was a case of murder, especially if you listen to the 911 call from the horrific incident last August.

“Prince George’s County 911, what’s the location of your emergency?” A dispatcher asks.

“Seabrook Road and Washington Blvd….somebody ran somebody over,” the caller responds. “God. It was like quick….ran him over with a truck.”

Alvarez-Mandoza admitted on the stand to getting into the SUV and running down her husband.

She even told the jury why she did it– because she claims she was a battered woman, and she was defending herself from a brutal monster.

But that defense isn’t supported by other evidence.

The state’s attorney says there was no prior history of abuse on file.

“We actually do not have any documented history of domestic violence in this case,” Maryland State’s Attorney Angela Alsobrooks indicated. “And so we encourage all victims, male or female, to come forward and request assistance.”

The case is reminiscent of the infamous Houston wife — Clara Harris– who was convicted of murder back in 2003 for running over her husband with her Mercedes.

Harris is now behind bars serving a 20-year sentence.

But in Alvarez-Mandoza’s case, she could face more than 10 years in prison.

Still…some wonder if that punishment fits such a terrifying crime?
