HOUSTON, Tx. – It’s said that it takes 21 days to break a habit, and we`re three weeks past the ball dropping, Houston, have you kept your new years resolutions?

If you made it this far, you`re doing better than most. Here in America, the 17th of January was “National Ditch Your Resolution Day.” In fact, statisticbrain.com says only 8% of people are successful in achieving their resolution.

But hey, don`t let it get ya down.

Behavioral therapist Alan Simberg, Ph.D. says, “It`s OK to have a goal, but if you don`t have action steps, and you don`t take those action steps, that goal is not going to go anywhere… put their attention on the present, and not think about what`s happened in the past, and think about what it is they want to accomplish, and just know in their own mind that they can do it, and if they take the action steps, they will accomplish their goal.”

So don`t give up! Because by 2017, you`ve gotta have a new resolution, and the whole cycle starts again. Happy new year y`all!
