DENVER, CO – Are you familiar with 420? Well, if you didn’t know, recreational marijuana is now legal in the great state of Colorado!

And, with that – there’s this. It’s mile marker 420 along Interstate 70 – east of Denver. Thieves have apparently been stealing the sign because, well, 420 is symbolic to smoking pot.

So, the Colorado Department of Transportation had the bright idea to swap the sign for mile marker 419.99. It is designed to keep people from stealing it. And, so far, it’s working!

Guess now it looks like thieves in Colorado might have to go to another state to get their mile high.
