LOS ANGELES – Comedian Steve Rannazzisi, star of TV show, The League, is in the spotlight not for his jokes, but for lying about escaping the World Trade Center during the September 11 attacks in 2001.
He used social media as his stage to publicly apologize.
On Twitter, Rannazzisi said as a young man he made a mistake that he deeply regrets and apologies may still not be enough.
He says he was working in a building in Manhattan and not at the World Trade Center on the day of the terrorist attacks.
Since Rannazzisi’s confession, you may not be seeing him anymore in Buffalo Wild Wings commercials. The chicken wing franchise told the New York Times, it is re-evaluating their relationship.
