PLEASANT VALLEY, NY – Some people dream of putting an end to their misery from their mama. It is, after all, only a dream.

Police in upstate New York say the dream became real for a Pleasant Valley man and his wife.

Cops say Charles Cole, 48,strangled his 76-year-old mother Betty, then stashed her body in a room at the Pleasant Valley Motel for nearly two months.

You were thinking the Bates Motel? Yes, you were. Or at least you are now.

Cops in New York charged Cole with murder. They say his wife Ronalda helped him take Betty’s body to South Carolina where investigators say the cold-blooded couple disposed of it in a secluded area off of I-95 near Lodge, between Charleston and Savannah.

Police say Charles Cole and his wife lived in the motel room with Cole’s mother, but they don’t know why Cole strangled her.

The motel manager told police his staff checked the room several times and didn’t notice anything wrong, like a dead body or the smell of decaying flesh.

Not sure what that says about the housekeeping staff.
