HOUSTON, TX – A busy night for fire crews in northeast Houston as they battled a fire at a pallet yard.

Crews got the call about the fire at Cougar Pallet Company around 11 p.m. on Tuesday. They managed to get it under control after about three hours, though they did run into a big obstacle when it came to getting water on the flames.

“There are no hydrants on this side of Aldine Westfield. So we had to bring in tankers from South Montgomery County, Klein and Sheldon Road,” said Westwood Fire Capt. Leon Martin. “Six tankers we had to bring in.”

At this point, investigators do not suspect arson.
