YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump is laying out his plan to combat radical Islamic terrorism.
The plan includes banning people from countries with heavy terrorist footprints, not issuing visas to citizens from places where our government can't adequately vet applicants, and issuing an ideology test to determine who harbors anti-American values.
“The time is overdue to develop a new screening for the threats we face today,” Trump said.
Trump said the U.S. also needs to work more with Middle Eastern allies, which is interesting given what he said last December.
“Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States,” he said.
The Republican National Committee said there are no discussions about cutting off funds to Trump, despite reports to the contrary.
Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton's campaign isn't skipping a beat when it comes to Trump's connections to Russia.
"(Trump) can't be trusted!" Vice President Joe Biden said.
The New York Times reports Ukrainian leaders have given Trump's campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, millions in cash while Manafort was a political consultant there. Manafort calls the report unfounded, silly, and nonsensical.
But it still raises questions about a possible bro-mance between Trump and Vladamir Putin. So does daughter Ivanka Trump's Instagram post showing her sightseeing with Wendi Murdoch in Croatia.
Murdoch is reportedly dating Putin!
Still wondering whether Putin and the presidential candidate are pals?
