crashHOUSTON, TX – One man is answering to the law after this mess in southwest Houston.

It happened off of Bellaire Boulevard and Cook Avenue. Houston Police say an alleged drunk driver of this suburban ran a red light (with a 6-month-old baby in the car!) and slammed into an ambulance that had the right of way.

“Two of the paramedics were transported for minor injuries,’ says Sgt. S. Sorge with the Houston Police Department. ‘The baby was also taken to the Southwest Memorial for minor injuries.”

As for the driver, he’s been slapped with felony DWI charges.

“Felony DWI because there is a child inside the vehicle and also because of the possible injuries. It could probably be upgraded.”

It didn’t take long for the ambulance to get turned back over. Maybe the suspect can also turn over a new leaf.
