UPDATE –  A New Caney dentist accused of sexual molestation of a teenage girl two years ago has been arrested.  Dr. Joshua Robbins, 37, is charged with attempted indecency with a child.  His arrest comes after a Houston-area family filed suit against him, claiming he drugged their daughter to have sex with her when she was 16 years old.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office confiscated inventory records of drugs from Robbins’ practice at Southeast Texas Children’s Dentist on FM 1485.

The family’s attorney Jim Moriarty says, “My clients are tormented by this horrible abuse by Dr. Robbins and are grateful that his actions have now resulted in criminal charges.”

Robbins’s license remains temporarily suspended by the Texas Board of Dental Examiners.

NEW CANEY, TX – A Houston-area family says New Caney pediatric dentist Joshua Robbins drugged and sexually assaulted their daughter two years ago when she was only 16.

The family’s attorney, James Moriarty says, “The conduct that I see in question here with this dentist is remarkably predatory.”

Investigators say Robbins admitted he took drugs from his office and spiked the teen’s drink before molesting her at her home.

“I will tell you that I fully expect that we’re going to discover that this has happened to other people in his practice or in his life,” Moriarty added.

The Texas State Board of Dental Examiners has temporarily pulled Robbins’ license.
