CAMP PENDLETON, Calif., – The California wildfires are spawning the freakish “firenado” –mini tornado-like spirals of fire.
As the “firenados” swirl, three new fires broke out at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. Civilians and military worked side by side to contain those.
Marine aircraft delivered more than 65,000 gallons of water to put out the flames.
According to reports, the military base fires scorched about 22,000 acres. that’s about 18 percent of the marine base.
We’ve heard of the military scorched-earth policy, but this is out of hand.
