HOUSTON- A relaxing bike ride . . . . turned into a terrifying discovery . . . a dead body found in Addicks Reservoir.

Houston Police Departmet says "two males were out riding their bikes in the park when they discovered a vehicle".

When they got a whiff of the car, they knew something was up so they contacted police.

HPD discovered a body inside the car. They say "he appears he's been there since the flood".

So why hadn't anyone found the rotting corpse earlier? HPD says that park is "currently inaccessible . . .  [and] nobody has been back there since the flood on tax day."

Officials are still waiting on a medical examiner to confirm their speculations.

As the aftermath of the floods continues to unfold, U.S. Congressman Kevin Brady took a look at the damage in Montgomery County.  He says there's around "400 homes in Montgomery county that got hammered by the recent flooding".

FEMA is currently assesing the damage, to see if it's enough to declare it  a state of emergency.  Brady believes once the data is looked at "we'll prove out we need this help here in Montgomery County".

If all goes as Congressman Brady hopes, families will have a have a recovery center sooner rather than later.
