HOUSTON - Guess who came out along with Houston Councilman C.O. Bradford to endorse Sylvester Turner for the next Mayor of Houston? It`s a face we haven`t seen in a while. Why it was former Houston Mayor Lee P. Brown.
Brown held the Mayor's Office in the Bayou City from 1997 until 2004, and is the first African-American to have such an esteemed honor. Now, the former mayor runs a police consulting firm and has written two books. One about policing and the other is an autobiography, about his life as Mayor.
Turner is in a run-off with Bill King to be Houston's next mayor. That run-off election will be decided December 12.
