BRENHAM, TX – The Lone Star State’s favorite ice cream could be making its way back to the shelves soon.

Blue Bell Creameries announced this week that Fort Worth billionaire, Sid Bass, became and investor and partner with the Brenham-based company.

Blue Bell’s CEO & President, Paul Kruse, said in a statement: “We are pleased Sid Bass has made a significant investment with our company. The additional capital will ensure the successful return of our ice cream to the market and our loyal customers.”

The company issued a massive recall after its ice cream was linked to 10 listeria illnesses in four states and three deaths in Kansas.
