NEW YORK, Ny. -- Women are definitely dominating the corporate world.
Fortune Magazine released its annual list of the 50 most powerful women in business and almost half of the ladies on the list are top players at major companies.
Sheryl Sandberg, the Chief Operating Officer of Facebook, comes in at number 10.
Sandberg is also the author of the book "Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead", which looks at women in the workplace and what it takes for women to reach for the top.
The number six spot goes to Meg Whitman, head of software company, Hewlett-Packard.
Indra Nooyi, the chairwoman and CEO of Pepsico , ranks number three on the list.
Number two is Mary Barra, the CEO of General Motors.
Barra got the job back in January and has already had to deal with a few road blocks, including numerous recalls and the faulty ignition switches that were linked to 21 deaths.
Reigning at the very top of the list is Ginni Rometty, the chairwoman, CEO, and president of IBM
Looks like the glass ceiling has officially been shattered.
