After competing for three years, our own Maggie Flecknoe from EyeOpener and NewsFix this morning out-milked 22 other media celebrities to win the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Celebrity Dairy Goat Milking Competition.

“My secret was that I used both hands; both milking at the same time,” Maggie told the Rodeo. “This worked well for me.”

Her special strategy worked to her advantage as Flecknoe walked away with the title and beat out 22 other contestants, including five-year champion Dana Tyson of Sunny 99.1.

The only contestant who came close to Flecknoe’s amount of milk was Outlaw Dave of KPRC-AM. Maria Todd of News 92 FM won the award, “I Milked a Goat and Lost,” for collecting the least amount of milk.

“Congrats to Maggie, but I will be back,” Todd said to her competition.

When her name was announced, Flecknoe started jumping up and down with excitement while wearing a smile on her face as big as the Texas sky.

“Thank you to everyone for all of the support,” Flecknoe said. “It took me four years to finally win and I could not be any more proud.”

You can catch Maggie serve up hot topics in The Online Dish every morning on EyeOpener and NewsFix this morning from 5-8am.
