HOUSTON,Tx. — Now that the election is about a month away, it’s time to register!

Advocacy groups are trying to get the word out that new voter ID laws are going to make it harder for some folks to do the deed, and on top of that, a lot of people still haven’t even signed up.

“Harris County has 500,000 people eligible to vote who are not registered,” says Fred Lewis, President of Texans Together.

Election day is November 4th and early voting starts in Harris County on October 20th.  So make sure you’re good to go! More information is available here .
