HOUSTON, TX – It’s only been about three years since Hayley Nester started bodybuilding, but it’s already made a huge difference in her life.
“I love that I’m a woman and it makes me feel strong,” Nester said. “It’s not just a physical thing, it’s an emotional thing.”
Currently, she’s in training to compete in GBO’s “Hot BodEz Fit GameZ” event June 4 in Spring, Texas. Training can be difficult, especially since she was diagnosed with lupus in the middle of March.
“It’s an autoimmune disease, so my body, instead of helping me, it’s working against me. It’s feeding off my joints, and my tissues and organs. That’s been a challenge for me when it comes to bodybuilding and reaching that next level.”
Inspired by her six year old son, Cash, Hayley has been going to treatment and is excited for the June show. For more information on the event, click here
