HOUSTON, Tx. — Ten-thousand dollars is lot of money to catch almost anyone’s attention, but is it enough to help catch a cat murderer?

“It’s horrible.  I feel sick to my stomach every time I hear about another mutilated cat being discovered,” says Jennifer Estopinal.

A Craigslist ad says $10,000 cash will be rewarded for info leading to an arrest and conviction of ‘The Heights Cat Killer.’

Catch and kill seems to be the game a sicko has been playing in the area for months.

“Our neighbor called one Sunday morning and she had found half of a cat that was cleanly cut in two, and she was afraid it was one of our cats.  It wasn’t one of our cats, it was a neighbor’s cat,” Estopinal claims.

Last week, a cat owner in the Heights found his dead pet’s remains on his front lawn.  Now, Heights area pet owners and cops are on the prowl to find the killer.

The Facebook page ‘Justice for Murdered Cats in Heights’ has been created to help with spreading the word.  The man who’s offering the cash wants to remain anonymous, but how long the killer will remain anonymous?  That’s a question pet owners can’t have answered soon enough.
