HOUSTON, TX – Houston City Councilman Al Hoang has had his life threatened twice this week and it’s only Wednesday.

‘I’m very worried for my children and my wife,’ says the South Vietnam born council member.

First, a man pulled a gun outside Hoang’s house and yelled in Vietnamese “I kill you and your family,” and then a few days later, an explosive was left on his doorstep.

Hoang says he thinks the group responsible is angry over his position on the political situation in Vietnam.  He says a certain group is advocating a violent overthrow of the communist government, and he only supports a peaceful movement.

HPD is currently watching over Hoang’s home.
