HOUSTON – A Houston-based company,  TrueGrid, has designed an interlocking paving system that is both eco-friendly and cost efficient.

“It’s made from 100 percent, post-consumer recycled plastic,” said TrueGrid CEO Barry Stiles. “The idea behind it is permeable so the storm water actually flows through the plastic it doesn’t stay on top and run off like it does with concrete and asphalt.”

The best part of it all — no potholes. It’s maintenance-free, cheaper, and lasts between 20 and 40 years.

“The main thing is stopping the flooding here in Houston and the storm water quality and the water quality, said Stiles. “It’s really to help that.”
