HOUSTON, Texas — Are you a snob?  Well, as a matter of fact, Houston made the list of America’s twenty snobbiest cities.  The online magazine Travel + Leisure has ranked the Bayou City 18 among the places where money talks, knows a lot, sings and tells the best jokes.

New York, the city that never sleeps just to make a statement, came in first.  Then we have Miami, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Boston, Tampa, Dallas (is anybody surprised about Dallas?), San Francisco, Salt Lake City and the list goes on.

And what makes a city snobby, you may ask?  Confidence and pretentiousness are top-scoring, of course, but other factors such as wine bars, museums and cleanliness have influenced the voting as well.  So, Houston is a proud member of the uppety club, folks.  Isn’t that chic?
