HOUSTON, TX - While we've recently heard of job cuts and downsizing in the oil business, one Houston company is giving its employees a hefty gift this holiday season. The Hilcorp Energy Company rewarded every one of their 1,400 employees with a $100,000 bonus.

Billionaire Jeffery Hildebrand is the founder and CEO of Hilcorp. The 100K bonuses were actually given to workers in June, after the company reached its five-year goals early. The employees worked hard and were rewarded with a beaucoup bonus!

Fortune magazine named Hilcorp as one of the best companies to work for in 2015. Clearly, this company has figured out the winning formula; a happy staff equals more productivity. So, here's hoping more companies follow Hilcorp's example this holiday season. Remember, it's always better to give than receive. And if you're a Fortune 100 company, your bar has been raised.
