HOUSTON – Anthony Bourdain was in the Bayou City to film an episode of his show “Parts Unknown”. On Monday, Bourdain filmed at Plant it Forward’s Montrose Farm.

NewsFix was unable to track him down, but we did ask Houston residents what other food destinations Bourdain should have checked out while in town.

Franki Stallworth thinks Bourdain “would go somewhere cool and low key . . . check out a little bit of Common Bond, even towards Richmond to La Petita.”

Christopher Gallego believes Bourdain’s “gold mine”  is the Bellaire area.

Craving  a burger? Stallworth says hit up “The Burger Joint” for some “great juicy burgers.”

Feeling frisky? How about some insects? Gallego suggests “Hugo’s, he might be in the mood for some fried crickets.”

So where does one find H-Town’s treasures?

“Anywhere that looks like a craphole outside is probably gonna be delicious inside”, this according to Gallego’s foodie advice.

Don’t leave Houston without trying Houston’s classics.  Arving Bagherpaur believes not trying Mexican while in the city would be “sacrilege.” Bagherpaur adds barbecue is a must.

Bourdain’s been all over the world, but Houston’s got the world right in one spot!

“We’re such a little foodie city that’s why you got a bunch of tubby tubbys like me running around” says Bagherpaur.

You heard it from the locals, this city loves food as much as you, Bourdain!
