HOUSTON -- Three people are dead after a former co-worker shot and killed two employees and himself at an auto repair shop in southwest Houston, the Houston Police Department said.

It happened shortly after 4  p.m Friday at Bemer Plus in the 14300 block of South Post Oak.

According to HPD, the gunman walked into the business and fatally shot two people before committing suicide outside the building.

One of the victim's relatives is struggling to understand why this happened to his cousin. Michael Williams said the victim, whose name has not been released, had been working at the shop for more than 20 years.

"He never had no issues. He was a loveable man," said Williams.

As of now,  the motive of this shooting remains a mystery. Investigators are combing through the scene to gather more details.

HPD Chief Art Acevedo said the shooting is a result of senseless workplace violence.
