HOUSTON – As Hurricane Patricia made its way through Mexico, it brought heavy rains to parts of Texas, including right here in Houston.
While rainfall totals neared the double digits, emergency crews responded to 28 calls for high water rescues Sunday. Good news is, no flood-related deaths or serious injuries were reported.
Things have since started to calm down as the storm moves east, but things aren’t in the clear just yet. A flash flood watch is in effect for southeast Texas until 7 a.m. Monday.
Also, a coastal wind advisory is in effect for Galveston County.
