LONDON – The duchess is back! After cancelling a couple of public engagements thanks to the bun in the oven, Kate Middleton stepped out for the first time at the BBC Sport Awards in London. This is her first appearance since the ill-fated prank call earlier this month.

One thing she’s not sporting yet is a baby bump, though. Give it time, folks. She’s only about 12 weeks along.

Kate presented two awards, including Sports Personality of the Year Award to Tour de France and Olympic champion Bradley Wiggins. She also handed out the Lifetime Achievement Award to former Olympian and current British Olympic Association’s chairman Sebastian Coe.

Kate was flying solo, going it alone without her Prince William. It’s believed she didn’t attend the entire 2.5 hour show, and just handed out the awards. Hey – that’s the important part, anyway.
