DODGE CENTER, MN – As car chases go, what happened in Minnesota was no Bullitt through the streets of San Francisco.
But it was almost as exciting for folks in Dodge Center and southeast Minneapolis as they watched a cement truck roll through their neighborhoods.
Police say an 11-year-old boy jumped into the truck when the driver got out and left the keys in.
The kid then led police on a merry chase through several communities hitting 70-miles-per hour a few times.
Two police cars were damaged and the kid even lost a tire.
The chase didn’t end until the truck ran over some stop sticks.
Nobody got hurt, and authorities are still trying to figure out what charges to file.
But you can bet, this is one truckin’ ride this kid won’t ever forget.
