HOUSTON, TX – The Texans coach Gary Kubiak returned to the field for Wednesday’s practice — a week-and-a-half after suffering a mini-stroke at halftime of the Colts game.
However, Kubiak’s public appearance was somewhat overshadowed, after a short video depicting a man’s private parts turned up on rookie wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins’ Instagram account.
Hopkins claims he was hacked.
For his part, Kubiak returns with his team caught in a seven game losing streak.
“Obviously we have got to get going, and win some football games,” he told reporters on Wednesday, saying he will be on the field for this Sunday’s game against the Raiders.
These developments come one day after defensive player Ed Reed was shown the door. Reed may have burned his Texans-bridges, by criticizing the coaching staff after last weekend’s loss to Arizona. Kubiak attributed the departure to the team’s limited use of the potential hall of famer.
“I thought it was fair to him to give him an opportunity to play somewhere else.”
