Last living 9/11 rescue dog has died in Cypress

CYPRESS, TEXAS — The last living 9/11 rescue dog has passed away.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott made the announcement on his Twitter page. Abbott stated, “Texas and America are forever grateful for Bretagne’s service.”

On September 11, 2001, Bretagne came to New York City to help with rescue efforts.

She was 16 years old.
