LEAGUE CITY, TX — Raising a young family in the fourth largest city in America can be like living life in the fast lane.
For those folks out there just getting started, there’s a neighboring city that might be more of your speed.
For the second year in a row, League City has been listed as one of the best cities in Texas for young families, that’s according to NerdWallet.
And the Vercellono family agrees after moving from Indiana to League City and say they feel the southern hospitality.
“League City is so much more than we could have ever imagined.”
NerdWallet ranked the top cities in Texas based on city growth, affordability, and schools.
Kristina Vercellono says, “The school system is incredible. We started out with my five kids going to Ross Elementary School, and that school is by far the best school my kids have ever attended.”
Dan Vercellono adds, “The economics here are by far phenomonal. They’re so much better than almost anywhere in the United States right now. We’ve lived in a few places around the country. After everything I heard over the radio, that Texas was the place to be.”
Kristina says, “It’s really affordable here. If you look at housing prices around the country and compare them to what you can get here in League City, in a very very safe, very affluent and upscale community, you’ll be surprised at what you can afford.”
So, if you want to live somewhere with a good job market, great schools, and safe neighborhoods, but not deal with the big-city noise, then it looks like this city along i-45 South just might be within your league.
