NEW YORK, NY - Blondes might have more fun, but brunettes sell more bras! This, according to revealing research conducted by New York based, online lingerie retailer Adore Me. And how was this tantalizing tidbit of data obtained?

The negligee maker uses a marketing ploy called A/B testing, which means all of their underwear is photographed in two ways. For this sexy study, both blonde and brunette models of various sizes, posed with the same bra and panties on. Those photo ads were then tracked on-line, to see which girls sold the most undergarments. The results; brown-haired beauties brought in more green.

Besides hair color, Adore Me also found plus-size models quadrupled the company's online sales when compared to slimmer girls. The retailer believes the reason why bodacious beauties and brunettes were able to rake-in beaucoup bucks is because online consumers, who are mostly women, seemed to relate more to them. Whatever Adore Me is doing, it's working. The company's revenue totaled $5.6 million in 2013. They are truly living large from their lingerie.

So it's really ladies choice, even though it's said that gentleman prefer blondes. According to Adore Me and their female shoppers, it's brunettes that rake in the big bucks.
