NEW YORK, NY – You might not recognize this little slugger yet, but soon enough you’ll be seeing her all over the place, thanks to her history-making cover of Sports Illustrated.

Mo’ne Davis is the first Little Leaguer to grace the cover of the national magazine.

She took the ball-playing world by storm when she became the first girl to throw a shutout in the Little League World Series.

Best of all? Ms. Davis is reportedly even better at basketball recently scoring 35 points in a game.

We’re betting this won’t be the last you see of this multi-talented young lady.

Sadly our local team is out of the world series after a heartbreaking loss Tuesday night.

But the Pearland team came out on top of a different competition.

Their final game in the Little League World Series earned higher television ratings than the Astros beating the Yankees the same evening — 3.7 to 0.3. In the TV biz we call that a lot.

To be fair, only about 40 percent of Houston can actually watch the Astros in Houston…

But our Pearland boys still deserve a round of applause for a job well done.

It’s a Little League team with some major league talent.
