CHEYENNE, WY – Liz is pulling out of the biz. Liz Cheney is ending her bid for a U.S. Senate seat representing Wyoming.
The eldest daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney issued a statement explaining why she’s dropping out of the Republican primary, saying, “Serious health issues have recently arisen in our family, and under the circumstances, I have decided to discontinue my campaign.”
This might work out for the best, since it seems her campaign has been rocky from the start.
Critics labeled Cheney as a carpetbagger for relocating to Wyoming from Virginia in 2012.
You might also remember the attention she received after a very public dispute with her sister, Mary – who’s a lesbian – over the issue of same-sex marriage.
Agh well, that was all in the past, it’s a new year, time for a fresh start.
Good luck liz!
