HOUSTON — Drop that turkey leg, and grab your bank card! Thanksgiving and Black Friday shoppers in Houston will have more time to browse the mall this holiday weekend.

The Galleria, Houston Premium Outlets and Katy Mills malls will offer extended holiday hours to accommodate the needs of busy shoppers, beginning on Thanksgiving, Houston Simon Properties announced Wednesday.

Holiday Hours

The Galleria:  Nov. 24 (6 p.m. – 1 a.m. the next day) Nov. 25 (6 a.m. – 9 p.m.)

Houston Premium Outlets: Nov. 24 (6 p.m. – Midnight) Nov. 25 (Midnight – 10 p.m.)

Katy Mills: Nov. 24 (6 p.m. – 1 a.m. the next day) Nov. 25 (6 a.m. – 10 p.m.)

Following Black Friday and throughout the month of December, each property will offer special hours – please visit individual websites for a specific date –

The Galleria, Houston Premium Outlets or Katy Mills.

Officials said to enhance the holiday shopping experience, The Galleria and Houston Premium Outlets will implement shopper appreciation programs.

Dickens carolers will be strolling the property singing festive tunes on Black Friday at the Galleria. And on Thanksgiving, 104.1 KRBE radio personality DJ Ben Phoenix — formerly of the Roula and Ryan Show — will be playing live from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Houston Premium Outlets. Then on Black Friday, sounds of the season will be heard the throughout the center as the Salvation Army Brass Band performs live from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
