HOUSTON - The main post office in downtown Houston is officially shutting its doors. It will relocate permanently to 1500 Hadley street. No word yet on what's going to happen to the building.

The facility opened at 401 Franklin street 53 years ago and its structure was designed by the same architects who designed the Astrodome.
