DOWNTOWN HOUSTON — The man accused of gunning down a Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy, is scheduled to be in court today.

Shannon Miles, 30, is accused of ambushing Deputy Darren Goforth, 47,  Friday night.
It was an execution style murder. Miles allegedly shot Goforth in the back while he was simply pumping gas.

Miles, from Cypress, will be arraigned at 9am.

He faces capital murder charges.

Investigators still have no motive for this cold blooded murder,  it appears that he didn’t even know Deputy Goforth.

Goforth, a 10 year veteran, leaves behind a wife and two young children.
