BOSTON, MA – Making outlandish claims on modes of transportation is not a good idea.

But it seems a Boston man missed that lesson, because he attempted get out of paying a train fare by pretending to be a member of the Secret Service.

“You don’t mess with the Secret Service,” he told a commuter train worker. “I’ll tell you that right now. I don’t care who you are. You’re just a conductor on a train.”

And when the conductor refused to back down, he went on to say, “Don’t interrupt my investigation. All right, tough guy? Who do you work for, al Qaeda?”

Nice try, but wouldn’t a real Secret Service agent want to keep his investigation, you know, a secret?

Looks like the joke is on him, because now the actual Secret Service is investigating. Good luck getting out of that one…
