HOUSTON — Houston police released new surveillance image Tuesday showing a suspect wanted after the fatal shooting of a 75-year-old man in an H-E-B parking lot over the weekend.
Police responded around 12:15 p.m. Saturday to a homicide call in the 9800 block of Blackhawk Boulevard.
Investigators said the alleged gunman and a second suspect followed That Huu Le into the parking lot before approaching the victim as he was exiting his vehicle. The suspect reportedly shot Le multiple times during a short altercation. Police said both suspects then left the scene in a gold-colored car.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.
Homicide detectives believe the suspects followed the victim from a bank parking lot shortly before the shooting. Bank surveillance photos show one of the suspects waiting in line but not making a transaction. He eventually takes a seat as the victim makes a withdrawl.
The men then follow Le to the grocery store parking lot.
The gunman is described as a man wearing a long-sleeve gray Nike shirt, light-colored pants and white sneakers. He is believed to be the driver of the vehicle used in the shooting.
Anyone with information on the identity of the suspects, please contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
