REDMOND, WA – Imagine never having to remember or type in another password; and being able to electronically unlock a door without a card key or remote. Microsoft was just granted a patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for a ‘wearable electric device’ that’s supposed to do just that. We’d show you what it looks like, but if it’s been invented Microsoft isn’t ready to unveil it.

The technology in the patent application involves ‘wearables’ — a computer you wear like a watch, wallet or jewelry. Instead of wireless connection to your wearable computer, your body acts as the conduit or transmission channel. To purchase something with a credit card, you’d just touch the screen and the data would transfer, no swiping necessary. This method of communication would make hacking seemingly impossible.

If you’re a techie and need the specs we can tell you the wearable computer will have a processor, operating system, storage, audio capabilities and an A/V ‘in’ and ‘output.’

With Apple and Google now mentioned as the leaders in technology, you know Microsoft will show it off to the world ASAP.
