Police were called to an apartment 6900 block of Pinemont in northwest Houston, and that’s where they found the body of the child’s mother, Angel Jackson, 26. She was last heard from on Christmas Eve when she reportedly sent out a text message saying she had been shot.

She was found after a maintenance worker called the Houston Police Department.

The baby’s father, Tumetheus Pack, was a person of interest in Jackson’s death. An Amber Alert had been issued  for the 14-month-old child and was cancelled after authorities made the discovery in Arkansas.
