LEAGUE CITY, TX – League City cops say a 10-year-old boy was kicked out of a car by his own mother.
Someone spotted the child strolling down the Gulf Freeway near League City Parkway all by himself at about 8:30 at night.
The boy told cops his mama, 34-year-old Angela Garcia, made him get out of the car and walk home as a punishment.
Plenty of parents can probably relate to the feeling of wanting to kick their kid out of the car. But come on, lady. You can’t actually do that.
Director of Communications for the City of League City, Kristi Wyatt, said “Obviously it was not a good judgment call and a 10-year-old child does not have the ability to navigate that roadway. And so, it was a very dangerous situation that that child was put into.”
Garcia was arrested and charged with abandoning and endangering a child.
Maybe now she’ll rethink the phrase “my way or the highway.”
