BAYTOWN, TX – Family and friends gathered to say their final goodbyes to Alex Chavez, one of the two murdered Baytown teens. As the funeral procession made its way to Alex’s final resting place, reality set in for those who were close to him.

“This is my first time losing a friend,” said Kris Cisneros. “Now, I know how it feels.”

Investigators say Alex and his friend Jarvis Morgan were abducted three weeks ago and killed. Their bodies were dumped in Double Bayou. Four men have been charged with capital murder.

Jose Chavez, 17, Valentin Lazo, 27 and Richard Gonzales, 21, are in jail, but Brandon Flores, 20, is still on the run.

Police believe he may have fled to Mexico, so U.S. Marshals are trying to track him down.

There are still a lot of unanswered questions. Motive and cause of death have yet to be determined, although police believe there was an argument the night before the murders.

Sadly, all the answers in the world won’t bring back Alex or Jarvis.
